As with our publications for crypto derivatives, sell-side clearing and proprietary trading, this quarterly report is produced by surveying our Systematic Hedge Fund Expert Network and provides a view into main operational challenges faced by systematic hedge funds.
Some of the key findings included:
- 57% of respondents are preparing to deploy new strategies
- 50% are looking to trade new asset classes
- 61% of hedge funds are planning to increase headcount in the next 12 months
- New staff will be dominated by developers and trading hires
- Margin finance rates have been a costly and operationally challenging result of recent volatility
