The report is based on a survey of senior executives at hedge funds and asset managers and explores demand among the buy-side for Prime Brokerage offerings. The report finds that the prime brokers have become more selective in their offerings to hedge funds since the implementation of Basel III. This has come at a time of an acceleration in hedge fund launches leaving some firms without sufficient access to leverage.
